BAADI UTSAV 2015-16

Baadiutsav 2015-16 was organised by Pratigya on 17th Jan, 2016 at Vidhan Sabha Ground, HEC, Sec-II, Ranchi. Even after the autorikshaw strike, the footfall recorded was almost around 3000. Children found their exhibition of products quite successful and various competitions registered a good number of participants. In an overall review, we found a great response regarding this event. The event was supported by Reserve Bank of India (Ranchi), Butterflies (New Delhi), World Vision India (Ranchi), Hope (Lohardaga), Bhartiya Kisan Sangh (Ranchi), The Concepts (Ranchi), Chhotanagpur Sanskritik Sangh (Ranchi), Childline (Ranchi), IKSUB Ltd. (Ranchi), National Domestic Workers’ Movement (Ranchi), Adarsh Seva Sansthan (Jamshedpur), Big 92.7 FM (Ranchi). We thank all our supporters, volunteers and organisers for their great support to make this event for children a grand success.

Van Mahotsav 2016 celebrated at Lodhma, Khunti

As promised by Mr. Ram Pratap Singh, IFS Officer and Pricipal Secretary, Youth and Cuture Ministry, to the children of Lodhma that he will plant 50-60 plants in the village, today on the Kargil Day, he helped the children start this Van Mahotsav 2016 at Lodhma, Khunti. He started the Mahotsav by telling the children about the importance of a tree in one’s life and till his/her death. He asked the children to say the slogan “Vriksh Lagao…Vriksh Bachao…Desh Bachao” and understand the idea behind it. He also taught the children how to plant a tree sapling properly. Children planted saplings in front of their homes and promised to take care of the plant(s) till it becomes a tree.

Pratigya Students at Child Rights Fair

19th November, 2010: 10 students from Pratigya participated in the “Child Rights Fair organised by UNICEF and Social Welfare Department , Government of Jharkhand. Our students raised their voice to include “Right to Choose School” with Right to Education as a Child Right. They also presented the Song “Hum Honge Kamyaab Ek Din” (we shall overcome some day) to which they added a new stanza “Hogi Shiksha Sabke Pass Ek Din” (Everyone will have education one day).
