Yuva :
History is the witness; revolutions are borne from the bosom of youth. Pratigya strongly feels that the Right to Quality School Education for every child in India, will come only through a youth movement. It is a common perception today, that the young in India have become self centered individuals whose only concern is their own monetary well being. Our experience challenges this baseless notion. The young are concerned about the present situation, and think seriously about society. But sometimes they dont have a genuine platform to express themselves, and analyze problems in an organized scientific way while contemplating on possible solutions.
Pratigya strives to provide such a platform to our young friends in different ways. We continually organize seminars on politico-socio-economic issues like displacement, personal liberty, economic liberty, education, and individual rights. |
Our activities include :
“Are we really Free?”
Seminar Participants discuss a wide range of national and international developmental issues, while striving to understand a liberal approach to ensuring individual rights. We go far beyond traditional approaches, methods and solutions. The aim is to mobilize young individuals and future leaders to bring about effective change in policy and society.
Communication Workshops
We work towards improving the communication skills of young leaders particularly when it comes to communicating ideas to the general populace. We also work on soft skills to enable participants to become influential and intensive speakers.
First Hand experience:
We don’t believe in arm-chair theorizing. Pratigya welcomes young leaders to volunteer as interns on various projects of ours across Jharkhand, providing them a brilliant opportunity to get some first hand experience.
R. T. I. Workshop
Right to Information is often termed as the greatest right granted to the citizens of India by the Constitution after Right to vote. When the system of today is characterised by rampant corruption at each and every level, RTI is one of the very few weapons to fight the cancer of corruption. In order to ensure active participation of youth in the movement to make the system transparent and accountable. Pratigya has taken on the task to mobilise youth to use RTI on a large scale. We organise RTI Workshop on a regular basis for youth. The process of filing RTI, where to file, how to write an application, format of the application, how to frame the question , penalties, appeal to higher authorities and all the nitty-gritty of RTI are being discussed in detail.
Youth Support
We facilitate college student counselling, with particular focus, though not limited to career, depression, anxiety, etc. Our experts guide these students, while helping them to cope with difficult circumstances and bring about a change in their own lives. |
